It’s been another busy week here at L & S Farms. One of the highlights — and one of the biggest challenges — has been this little guy that we’ve been working hard to keep going all week. It was certainly a team effort! There were several nights we went to bed after checking the barn cameras one more time just sure he wouldn’t make it through the night because his mama turned out to not be a very good milker. He’s finally looking stronger every day. Sometimes farming is a lot of long days with extra bottle feedings, waiting until 11 or 12 at night to feed cows who, just like us, don’t like to eat when it’s hot, and doing whatever we can to give each animal a fighting chance in the heat. We sure are missing our great summer help since school started again!
We’re also starting to look ahead to the last holiday weekend of the summer. It’s hard to believe it’s only a couple of weeks away so if you’re planning to spend the weekend camping, having a cookout, or just enjoying some time outdoors, remember that we have the things you may need right here at the farm:
