Hi friends,
Whew—it’s HOT! We’re doing what we can to keep things comfortable for the animals—extra shade, fresh water on the regular, and early morning chores before the sun really kicks in or late at night. The chickens aren’t thrilled about the heat, but they’re still laying like champs and the cattle are hiding out in the shade in the woods.

If you’re planning a cookout for the 4th of July, camping trip to Starve Hollow, or just firing up the grill for dinner, don’t forget we’ve got some local favorites that are perfect for summer meals:
- Grass-fed, grain-finished ground beef (great for burgers)
- Propane refills to keep the grill going strong
- Firewood bundles—approved by the DNR if you’re heading to the lake
